A FL Div 1
Tues 10th Aug Dunboyne 3-11 Seneschalstown 2-5
Dunboyne moved closer to safety in Div. 1 of the A FL with a comfortable success inspired by an outstanding display by David Gallagher.
The county ‘keeper was given a new role at centre back, a spot normally filled by his brother Denis, and was intrumental as the home side turned around a 1-03 to 2-03 interval deficit, caused by a rocket of a shot by Joe Sheridan.

All this despite the fact Dunboyne got off to the best possible start when the returning Robbie Brennan opened the scoring with a goal and Andy McEntee tagged on a point almost immediately.
It was a pity Dunboyne couldn’t have performed as well in Sunday’s championship cruncher, still though, this win is bound to be a bit of a boost ahead of next week’s Feis Cup quarter final against Ballinlough.
Barry and Gary Watters, Nigel Crawford, Gerard Robinson, Brennan and Gallagher were best on this occasion
