Newly promoted Seneschalstown opened their account to A FL Div. 1 with victory over their neighbours Walterstown on Sunday.
Seneschalstown opened their account with a goal from a penalty after 17mins, when Joe Sheridan was fouled. Joe shook himself down to calmly shot the penalty in the bottom hand corner pass the despairing keeper.

Newly promoted Seneschalstown opened their account to A FL Div. 1 with victory over their neighbours Walterstown on Sunday.
Seneschalstown opened their account with a goal from a penalty after 17mins, when Joe Sheridan was fouled. Joe shook himself down to calmly shot the penalty in the bottom hand corner pass the despairing keeper.
Seneschalstown followed up with this opening score by a fine point from Damien Sheridan after 20mins of the first half, before their second goal from another Sheridan Brian on 22mins. Brian also finished off the first half scoring from Seneschalstown with his second point of the game on 25mins, to leave the score 2-4 to 0-3 in the home side’s favour.
Walterstown rallied straight after the break with a dubious goal after 33mins, which might have been a square ball. Seneschalstown had to wait until 10mins after the restart to add their next score, which came in the form of a goal from Cormac Quinn. Brian Sheridan then added another point on 46 minutes.
The game was all over in affect after 3 goals where scored in as many minutes from Seneschalstown. Firstly on the 52th minute Robert Ruddy went on a solo run before unleashing a shot to rifle the back of the Walterstown net. Joe Sheridan followed up a minute later with his second goal, before Robert Ruddy added his second goal on the 54th minute.
Seneschalstown added their final score courtesy of a point from Brian Sheridan on the 56th minute. Walterstown end the scoring of the game with a goal in injury time. They were awarded a penalty which was brilliantly saved by David Lyons only for them to score the rebound.
