Seneschalstown earned another 2 points as they defeated Drumree in Kilmessan on Friday evening.
Drumree started off well with a goal and point in the first 4 minutes of the match. The goal came from a high ball into the forward line and a mistake in the Seneschalstown defence seen the ball bounce into the back of the net. Another point from a free for Drumree before Seneschalstown answered with a well struck goal from full forward Johnny Gilsenan in the 12th minute. Further points from Damien Mc Donnell, Mark Gilsenan and a free from Johnny Gilsenan left Seneschalstown 1 point up going into the break.
Seneschalstown opened the second half well with a goal from a high ball in from Stephen Markey in the 34th minute followed by 2 points from Johnny Gilsenan (1 free) left the Yellow Furze side with a 3 point lead. Drumree answered with a point on the 42nd minute before another 2 points from Gilsenan (1 free). Gilsenan had a further goal chance on the 54th minute but unfortunatley blasted the ball to the right of the goal mouth.
