Seneschalstown goal keeper Alan Geraghty insured a win for the Yellow Furze when a he kicked a last minute penalty against Dunsany in the last round of the Division 7 B League on Tuesday.

Seneschalstown goal keeper Alan Geraghty insured a win for the Yellow Furze when a he kicked a last minute penalty against Dunsany in the last round of the Division 7 B League on Tuesday.
Seneschalstown were first on the score board when a deflection off the cross bar was caught by Adrian Clarke who found the back of the net on the 3rd minute. Clarke quickly added to the score line with a point from play on the 4th minute. Dunsany opened there scoring on the 9th minute with a point from play. Half back Robert Darby slotted a point over the bar on the 12th minute before Dunsany cancelled it out with a free on the 15th minute. A penalty came for Seneschalstown on the 19th minute when midfielder now full forward Cian Ruddy was fowled in the square leaving Martin Clarke to set up and fire the ball to the back of the net. Darby kicked over another point from play on the 20th minute for Seneschalstown but Dunsany again reacted well and got a point from play on the 21st minute. Seneschalstown kicked over 2 more points from play from James Gillic and Thomas Duggan on the 27th and 29th minutes respectively leaving Seneschalstown 2-5 to 4 points up going into the break.
Dunsany started the second half stronger and took a shot on goal on the 32nd minute but the Seneschalstown goalie reacted well and pulled off a great save. Mark Gleeson got the Yellow Furze side on the score sheet for the second half with a point from play on the 33rd minute. Dunsany did find goal on the 36th minute when a mistake in the Seneschalstown defence seen the ball fisted to the back of the net. At this point Dunsany had gained momentum and scored 3 points from play on the 40th, 41st and 42nd minutes. Dunsany conceeded a 45 which seen the Seneschalstown goal keeper Alan Geraghty set up and kick over the bar on the 44th minute. Dunsany again kicked a rally of scores on the 50th, 52nd and 56th minute before they conceeded another penalty which again seen the Yellow Furze goalie Geraghty set up and fire to the back of the net leaving just 3 points between the sides. Dunsany kicked over another point from play on the 62nd minute but it wasnt enough leaving Seneschalstown winners by 2 points.
