Seneschalstown overcame Gaeil Colmcille in Grangegodden on Saturday evening.
Seneschalstown were first on the scoreboard with points from play from on form Brian Sheridan on the 1st and 6th minutes. Shane Clarke and David Hosey soon added to this with points from play on the 11th and 12th minutes. It was the 19th minute before the Kells side registered there first point on the scoreboard but was soon cancelled out with another point from play from Clarke on the 20th minute. Goal came for Seneschalstown on the 21st minute with great pass from Brian Sheridan to Adam Glesson who kicked to the back of the net. Seneschalstown registered 3 further points on the board with a free from Clarke on the 25th minute and points from play from Stephen Finnegan on the 26th minute and Sheridan on the 28th minute. Just before the break of half time the home side received a penalty which was struck to the back of the net leaving Seneschalstown up by 8 points.
Seneschalstown conceeded a free in the opening minutes allowing the Kells side kick over the bar on the 31st minute. The Yellow Furze side answered well with a point from play on the 32nd minute. Gaeil Colmcille got a further 2 points, one from free, on the 35th and 36th minutes respectively. Sheridan kicked over another point from play on the 37th minute just before referee Morris Quinn awarded Seneschalstown a penatly which seen Sheridan step up and strike to the back of the net on the 41st minute. At this point Seneschalstown were on top and with a further point from play from Gleeson on the 41st minute left 9 points between the sides. Sheridan got another goal for the vistiing team on the 48th minute which was followed by points from free on the 52nd and 54th minutes. Substitute Peter Watters kicked over another point from play on the 56th minute before goal came for Gaeil Colmcille on the 59th minute. Brian Sheridan finished off his scoring with a point from free on the 60th minute which was soon followed with a point from play from substitute Damien Sheridan on the 62nd minute leaving the Yellow Furze side 11 point winners.
