Seneschalstown opened the scoring with 2 points from free from Bryan Clarke and Brian Sheridan on the 1st and 2nd minutes. Simonstown soon cancelled those points out with points from play on the 3rd, 7th and 8th minutes. Simonstown conceeded 2 further frees on the 12th and 15th minutes again from Sheridan and Clarke. Again Simonstown eliminated those points with scores on the 15th, 17th and 19th minutes. Sheridan kicked over another point from free on the 20th minute before David Hosey got the visitors first point from play on the 21st minute. Once more the home side kicked over 2 points from play leaving them 2 points up going into the break.
Simonstown couldn’t have started the second half any better with a goal in the opening minute and point a minute later. The Yellow Furze side got 2 points from play on the 33rd and 36th minutes from Sheridan. The home side then went on a goal spree with goals on the 39th, 44th, 46th minutes a point on the 52nd minute and another goal on the 53rd minute leaving Seneschalstown in shock and with no answer. Clarke kicked over the last of Seneschalstown’s points from play on the 54th minute. Simonstown slotted over 3 further points, 1 free, on the 57th, 58th and 61st minutes leaving them with a huge win of 18 points putting them on top of the Division 2 A League depleating the big score difference Seneschalstown had gained in the opening 5 rounds of the league.
