Seneschalstown recorded an impressive away victory in the Minor League on Friday evening when accounting for Jenkinstown Gaels in Batterstown.
Having fallen behind when the hosts got the first point of the game Seneschalstown hit back when Adam Carey equalised with a fisted point before centre back Niall Hickey shot them into the lead when finishing to the net following a great team move. Sean Noonan chipped in with a point from play while Daire Geraghty accounted for three points with two coming from frees. This left the half time scoreboard reading Seneschalstown 1-05 Jenkinstown Gaels 0-05.
Seneschalstown burst from the traps at the outset of the second half when Adam Carey scored a spectacular goal which started in the half back line. From then on Seneschalstown took charge of proceedings. Geraghty added a further three points including one monster free from 55 metres, with Eoin Finnegan notching one during Geraghty’s run of scores. Adam Carey also added a point before Ryan O’Dowd finished off the game with a third goal for Seneschalstown.
