Following their disappointing performance and result against Rathkenny in Round 1 Seneschalstown’s U-14 side bounced back to winning ways when disposing of the St. Vincent’s/Curraha challenge in Fr. Tully Park on Saturday evening.

Following their disappointing performance and result against Rathkenny in Round 1 Seneschalstown’s U-14 side bounced back to winning ways when disposing of the St. Vincent’s/Curraha challenge in Fr. Tully Park on Saturday evening.
With the away side having twelve players it meant that there was plenty of open space on the pitch and a huge amount of running to be done for all players. With their performance levels raised a couple of notches from the Rathkenny defeat the Seneschalstown players set about their challenge with real hunger but by half time they had just a two point lead to show for their efforts, although they had played into a stiff breeze during this spell, as the score read Seneschalstown 2-05 St. Vincent’s/Curraha 0-09.
The advantage of that breeze and their ability to introduce fresh legs proved crucial during the second half as the side who had won the Meath Féile earlier in the year began to open their shoulders and put some daylight between the teams. By the full time whistle they had opened up a margin of eleven points as their ability to score goals proved vital.
