Seneschalstown overcame Skryne at home on Monday evening in the 5th round of the Division 1 B League.
Seneschalstown goalie Weslie Mc Donagh pulled off 2 good saves in the 4th minute of the match which then led to a well struck goal from full forward Jonathan Gilsenan on the 5th minute for the home side. Gilsenan soon added to the score board with a point from play on the 7th minute. Skryne kicked over there second point on the 15th minute but was soon followed by 2 points from play and a free from David Hosey on the 19th, 20th and 22nd minutes. The home side got 3 more points from play on the 23rd, 24th and 29th minutes from the full forward line of Hosey, Gilsenan and Paul Garry leaving the Yellow Furze side up by 8 points going into the break.
Seneschalstown were first on the score board in the second half with points from play on the 31st, 32nd and 34th minutes from the midfield duo of Gary Conlon and David Matthews. Skryne got there first score of the second half with a point from play on the 35th minute but was cancelled out by a point from substitute Max Mc Farland on the 36th minute. Skryne added 2 more points from play on the 37th minute and another on the 43rd. Goal came for Skryne on the 46th minute from corner forward Jamie Jordan soon followed by a point from play on the 48th minute. Joey Macken got a point from play on the 50th minute but was soon followed by another goal for the visitors on the 54th minute from Jordan. Seneschalstown reacted well to this with points from play on the 54th and 56th minutes from Hosey and Neil Darby. The home side finished off there scoring on the 57th minute with a fine goal from Darby leaving them with an 8 point win.
