Senior Ladies
Dunboyne 6- 12 Seneschalstown 0-7
Seneschalstown travelled to Dunboyne on Friday for Round 2 of the Kepak Ladies Senior Championship.
Dunboyne did open the scoring, but Kellie Stafford replied from a free from about 30 meters. Dunboyne tagged on two more points in quick succession and were awarded a penalty, which was dispatched to the net. Seneschalstown rallied for a period with good points from Ola Finnegan and Caitlin Dunne but Dunboyne pushed on to lead 2-7 to 0-4 at the break with Stafford knocking over her second point just before the break.
In the second half Dunboyne kept their foot on the throttle and tagged on scores at regular intervals. Seneschalstown never gave up with points from Stafford (2) and Caoimhe Clarke. Their 7-point hall probably wasn’t a fair reflection of the efforts on the night.
Next up for the ladies is their final group game at home to Donaghmore Ashbourne on Thursday Sept 5th @ 19.30 in Fr Tully Park with every chance of progression to the knock-out stages. Lets get a large crowd down to support the ladies.
