Senior: The Senior side opened their season with a home draw against newly promoted Blackhall Gaels in Round 1 of the League on Sunday afternoon. Following a closely contested game two late points from Brendan Lynch and James Byrne secured a share of the spoils on a score line of 1-07 apiece.
Next up will be a short spin to Duleek to take on Duleek Bellewstown in Round 2.
Junior B: The Junior B season will get underway on Sunday when the team travel to Grangegodden to take on Gaeil Colmcille. These two sides met twice last year with the Kells men winning the League contest in Fr. Tully Park and the Championship game played in Carlanstown last May ending in a draw, Gaeil Colmcille 1-09 Seneschalstown 0-12. Another tough encounter is expected this Sunday but the team will be hoping to get off to a positive start.

Strength and Conditioning: Plenty of effort was once more put in by all last Saturday, which made the decision of picking the best trainer even harder for the coaches. In the end they picked Aoibhe Monaghan as their topdog.
Aoibhe showed her battling skills in the game of Pella, having received a stray ball to the face she picked herself up, dusted herself down and continued to play on before finishing off with a crucial power play score!
There are only four topdog awards left! Who’s going to claim the next one? Our sessions continue this Saturday at 16:00.
Facilities: Saturday was a significant day for the club as our new cabin for changing facilities arrived in Kentstown.
This is a major step forward in our facilities as it will enable us to have more training and underage games in Kentstown while relieving our pitch in Fr Tully Park of some activities.
Lotto: The numbers drawn in this week’s Lotto were 14, 16, 19 and 25. There was no winner of the jackpot of €5,800. Next week’s jackpot will be worth €5,900. The 5 x €25 winners are Kieran Mulvany, Millie McGowan, Charlie Reilly, Orla Sheridan and Clare Finnegan.
Tickets for the Lotto are €2 or 3 for €5. They can be purchased from committee members, Lotto sellers, local shops or you can also play online at http://www.helpourclub.ie/localhome.asp?
Meath: Following their disappointing defeat to Galway, Meath will be looking to bounce back to winning ways when playing Kildare in Round 2 of the Allianz National Football League on Saturday evening in Páirc Tailteann. Throw in is at 19:00 and will be live on Setanta for those who can’t make it to the game.
Alan Mulvany: Our juvenile player Alan Mulvany will be opening the car park in St. Patricks School for the upcoming Allianz League matches v Kildare and Westmeath as well as the Leinster U-21 Championship game v Westmeath.
Alan is doing this as a fundraiser for the schools French Student Exchange Trip.
Parking for each individual match will be just €2 and €6 for all three games.
We would like to encourage our members and supporters to give this fundraiser your backing.

Kilmihil is located off the N68 between Ennis and Kilrush.
