Despite getting off to a very slow start in their U-14 Division 2 Round 6 game last Thursday evening away to Trim Seneschalstown got the victory they were seeking when at the end of a match which was nip and tuck throughout they managed to get enough scores to pull away and win by six points. Indeed Trim had been ahead and were it not for some erratic shooting they could have been out of sight.

Despite getting off to a very slow start in their U-14 Division 2 Round 6 game last Thursday evening away to Trim Seneschalstown got the victory they were seeking when at the end of a match which was nip and tuck throughout they managed to get enough scores to pull away and win by six points. Indeed Trim had been ahead and were it not for some erratic shooting they could have been out of sight.

Seneschalstown though never gave up and with Seanie Dalton and Liam Maguire leading the way they eventually got a foothold in the game and when Cathal Hickey and Aaron Traynor grabbed two points in the last five minutes of the first half along with a point from Sean Commons to leave them just a point behind at the interval, 2-02 to 2-01.

Like a greyhound in Shelbourne Park Trim burst from the traps at the start of the second half firing 2-03 to advance into a ten point lead. As they had done in the previous round against Round Towers Seneschalstown put their fitness levels to good use with a devastating display in the final third of the game. In the last twenty minutes they outscored their hosts by 6-03 to 0-02 as they produced some scintillating football. Joseph Moore led the way with 2-01 in this spell while others to contribute scores were Ross Mullen, Sean Commons, Jamie Kirwan and Simon Rooney.
