Seneschalstown opened there first round of the Junior B Group B match with a convincing win over St Pauls in Dunsany on Sunday afternoon.
Seneschalstown were first on the score board with a point from free from corner forward Peter Waters on the 6th minute. They soon added to there score with points from play on the 9th and 14th minutes from Gerry Mc Kendry and Tommy Ledwidge. Gary Conlon slotted over another point from play on the 21st minute which was quickly followed by further points from play from Neil Darby and Ledwidge. It took 27 minutes for St Pauls to register there first score from play which was there only score of the first half leaving the Yellow Furze side up by 5 points going into the break.
As with the opening minutes of the first half Waters opened the scoring with a point from free on the 34th minute which was soon followed by a point from play from Ledwidge on the 35th minute. St Pauls got there second point of the match from play on the 37th minute which was soon cancelled out with a point from Jonathan Gilsenan. The Yellow Furze side kicked over 4 further points in concession including 1 free before St Pauls answered with 2 points from free. Goal came for Seneschalstown in the dying minutes of the match when Gilsenan struck to the back of the net.
