A great ball in from Ronan McMahon in midfield found Ollie Sheridan in space with Sheridan making no mistake dispatching a shot to goal. Another piece of good play found Christy Cahill out on the right before he turned his man to take a nice point. Michael Lynch then converted two free kicks and a well taken point from Paul Lynch to leave the North Meath side 1:04 up before Seneschalstown got off the mark. Seneschalstown scored 3 unanswered points from play themselves then Cahill taking another good score from play for the reds. Seneschalstown scored a point from a free to leave the half time score 1:05 to 0:04 in favour of Moynalty.
At half time Moynalty replaced Michael Lynch with Plunkett Tormay with Tormay taking up a midfield position. Sheridan opened the scoring in the second half with a well taken score from play. Seneschalstown then scored 2 points (1free) then Paul Lynch finished of nice play with a point for Moynalty. Seneschalstown put themselves right back in it with a goal to leave them one point adrift. Moynalty were rewarded a free kick along the sideline on the right and Paul Lynch delivered a lovely high ball in around the square that bounced and found the net possibly off their keeper, Sheridan then finished the scoring with a very well taken point. Paul Lynch and Adrian Lynch played really well for Moynalty. The Moynalty side will be happy enough with the result but will want to play more of the type of football that they opened and finished this game off with.
