Seneschalstown kept their hopes of a league playoff alive after this defeat of the home team. It didnt look good for the winners early on as Simomnstown scored a goal in the first minute and followed with a point soon after, but with Paul Kinsella and Seamus O Brien getting to grips with midfield the furze recovered before the break with points from Ollie Finnegan, Michael Mullen and Barry Clarke to lead 0-6 to 1-2.

The furze started the second half with 2 early points from Clarke and with Stephen Dillon and Jonathan Keating pushing forward from the halfback line the winners increased their
lead to win comfortably. Best for the winners were Stephen Dillon, Paul Kinsella, Colin Gleeson and the Keating brothers.
