Scores were at a premium in the second half and the lead changed hands on 3 ocassions, but a late surge from the hosts and some dubious referring decisions ensured the furzemen’s second defeat in the campaign. One such decision denied Sean Dillon an early second half penalty after he was taken down from behind after collecting a crossbar rebound from Robert Ruddy’s long range point attempt. Although defeat was the furzemen’s lot on this ocassion, qualification for the league decider is still well within thier grasp. Best for the loosers were Colin Gleeson, Brian Collier, Robert Ruddy, Paul
Finnegan, Joey Macken and Sean Dillon.
