Seneschalstown easily overcame the hosts challenge with a comanding second half display. Playing into the breeze in the first half the furze men went into a 5 point lead but a good 10 minute spell by the hosts had them on level terms after 25 minutes but 3 late points had the furze leading at the break by 0-8 to 0-6. With midfield dominance provided by Seamus O Brien and Robert Ruddy the furze men continualy attacked and taged on a further 1-6, the goal coming from Ruddy late in the game. The furze men also kicked a disappointing 17 wides but kept their hopes alive of qualification for the
league final.
