Seneschalstown overcame table toppers St Vincents in this highly entertaining championship clash at Curraha and thus qualification for the knockout stages is now in their own hands. A point from their last game against Longwood will guarantee qualification regardless of any other result in the group. Seneschalstown opened brightly and a goal from Paul Finnegan had them ahead 1-2 to 0-1 after 12 minutes but the next ten minutes belonged to St Vincents who scored 1-2 without reply to go ahead for the first time.

The furze men upped the tempo before the break to score 4 further points and lead 1-6 to 1-4 at the break. Early second half points from Brian Clarke(free) and a superb long range effort from Seamus O Brien had the furzemen 4 ahead but a strong effort from their oponents reduced the arears to 2 points but a superb leftfooted point from Stephen Dillon seem to settle the furze men who went on to score 2 further points to ensure a deserved
victory with a superb allround team display.
