Alan Geraghty’s haul of 1-9 was the highlight of Seneschalstown’s away win
at Bective in this “B” League Div 5 clash. Bective started much better and
led by 2 points after 10 mins but a long range free from Geraghty ended up
in the net and was quickly followed by a point from play and this seem to
settle the furze side. Geraghty added 2 more points before the break
including a mighty sideline kick from the left but the concession of a late
goal had the teams all square at the break. Geraghty continued his haul

goal had the teams all square at the break. Geraghty continued his haul
shortly after the break and soon Seneschalstown were 5 points ahead. Bective
rallied and reduced the deficit by 2 but a shot from Leo Hernon was
deflected to the net by Colin Carter with five minutes left and this put the
furze side 8 ahead.
A late Bective rally yielded 2 points but the furze side had maintained
their unbeaten run. Best for Seneschalstown were Geraghty, Ciaran
Finnegan, Francis Sheridan, Wayne Mullen and Kevin Clarke before his dismissal
with 10 mins remaining.
