Seneschalstown opened its J.F.D.C with a comprehensive win over Meath Hill. Playing against a strong wind Seneschalstown opened the scoring with an Adrian Clarke goal after 3 mins. Seneschalstown’s backs held Meath Hill to 0-05. Meath Hill’s goalie foiled Clarke again before Alan Geraghty added 0-03 and Colin Carter 0-01. Ciaran Finnegan was unlucky to get a red card after an innocous incident with a Meath Hill player. An injury to Jimmy O’ Reilly saw the introduction of Alan Oakes who immediately set up Geraghty for a goal.

With wind advantage Seneschalstown took control and with Francis Sheridan and Oakes controlling midfield and the backs completely on top they added 2-14 to Meath Hill’s 0-03 courtesy of Geraghty 2-06(the hightlight a sideline kick from 45m)Wayne Mullen 0-01, Stephen Sheridan 0-02, Francis Sheridan 0-01, Simon Curtis 0-01, Ruairi Coogan 0-01, Donal Lettice 0-01, Alan Oakes 0-01.Best for the winners were Geraghty, Oakes, F.Sheridan, D. Sheehy, A.Morgan,and J.Finnegan.
