Seneschalstown played host to last year’s Division 2 champions on Sunday last where the visitors emerged victorious by three points.
Going into the interval at half time Seneschalstown were up against it as they trailed at this point by five points, 0-03 to 1-05.

Going into the interval at half time Seneschalstown were up against it as they trailed at this point by five points, 0-03 to 1-05.
Granted a lifeline two minutes into the second half when awarded a penalty they failed to capitalise when the shot was fired outside the post and wide. Seneschalstown did manage to outscore the Kells side in the second period b four points to two but were never able to get the goal which may have given them the momentum to snatch the victory and accompanying two points.
No doubt manager the team will be sharper and will have some of the players who are currently side-lined through injury back in action when the two sides meet again in Round 3 of the Junior B Championship later in the year.
