Dunshaughlin claimed there first 2 points of the League when they overcame Seneschalstown at home.
Dunshaughlin opened the scoring in the 1st minute with a free from Martin Reilly. Seneschalstown reacted well with a free from Shane Clarke on the 6th minute. Clarke found the net when a sideline kick in from Damien Sheridan found Clarke on the 9th minute. A further free on the 12th minute from Bryan Clarke ment the Yellow Furze side were 4 points up. A point from play from Dunshaughlin’s Conor Devereux was soon cancelled out with a point from Seneschalstown’s Jonathan Gilsenan on the 16th minute. Another point from play from the Yellow Furze full forward Sheridan on the 17th minute before a point from play from Denis Kealy was soon followed by a goal from corner forward Reilly. Seneschalstown gained another free on the 23rd minute which was slotted over the bar by Bryan Clarke but Dunshaughlin were awarded a free on the 28th minute which Reilly kicked over the bar. Robert Ruddy kicked over point from play which gave the Yellow Furze side a 2 point lead before the break of half time.
Seneschalstown kicked off the scoring in the second half with a free from Shane Clarke on the 32nd minute. Dunshaughlin put there foot to the floor and scored a series of points from Reilly, an on form Devereux and Cathal Dwyer. Seneschalstown who hadnt scored since the 32nd minute got a point from play from Shane Clarke on the 53rd minute and another on the 56th minute from Gilsenan which left the sides level with 2 minutes to go. Dunshaughlin finished stronger with further points from play from Devereux on the 59th and 60th minutes respectively.
