With this the last game of the league for both teams, Seneschalstown needed a win from this match to ensure a place in division 1 for 2012. But that was not to be as Wolfe Tones overcame the Yellow Furze side by a single point in Seneschalstown on Sunday evening.

With this the last game of the league for both teams, Seneschalstown needed a win from this match to ensure a place in division 1 for 2012. But that was not to be as Wolfe Tones overcame the Yellow Furze side by a single point in Seneschalstown on Sunday evening.
It took 8 minutes to register the first score of the match with a free from Wolfe Tones. Seneschalstown had a dissallowed goal on the 10th minute when a high ball into Joe Sheridan which fell to the back of the net was ruled out due to a square ball. After a further 8 minutes Seneschalstown registered there first score with a point from play from Shane Clarke on the 16th minute. Jonathan Gilsenan kicked over the black spot for the home side with a point from play on the 18th minute. This was sooned followed by a point from free from Brian Sheridan on the 19th minute. Wolfe Tones narrowed the gap on the 21st minute with another point from free. The Tones conceeded another a free which allowed Brian Sheridan to step up and kick over on the 23rd minute. With Cian Ward out due to injury his younger brother Fiachra stepped up and kicked a point from play on the 24th minute leaving just 1 point between the sides on the break of the first half.
Seneschalstown kicked off the scoring in the second half with a point from free from Brian Sheridan on the 34th minute. Its took a further 10 minutes for each side to score but allowed for a lot of wides in this time. Stephen Finnegan kicked over a point from play on the 45th minute. Ward soon cancelled this out with a point from free on the 46th minute and another from play on the 49th minute leaving Seneschalstown just one point up with 10 minutes to go of normal time. Unfortunately for Seneschalstown goal came for the Tones on the 52nd minute when a mistake in defence seen the ball in the back of the net leaving the Tones up by 2 points. Wolfe Tones conceeded a free on the 57th minute which seen Brian Sheridan slot over the bar leaving just 1 point between the sides on the final whistle.
