Able to name a strong starting fifteen and welcoming Sean McCabe back for his first appearance of the year this result is a most welcome boost for the side as they look to pick up enough points to maintain their Division 1 status.
With the foundations for the victory laid in the first half, at the end of which Seneschalstown led by 0-09 to 0-02 this was the perfect confidence boosting win for the side. Then in the second half they kept their foot on the accelerator as they hit the back of the net twice courtesy of Jonathan Gilsenan and Ross Howard on their way to racking up a further two goals and eight points.
While the return of Sean McCabe to action was an undoubted positive from the performance the win was soured somewhat by a nasty looking shoulder injury suffered during the match by Paul McDonnell. All in the club would like to wish him a speedy recovery.
Next up for the Junior B’s in the League is a local derby against Duleek/Bellewstown in Fr. Tully Park on Monday June 29th while they return to Championship action against Dunderry on Sunday at 14:00 in Kilmainham.
