The St. Michaels / Kilmainhamwood combination (Blackfort Gaels) recorded their first loss in this years league when they went down to hosts Seneschalstown on Friday evening last in Division 5.

A very evenly contested first half ended with Blackfort Gaels 0-10 to 1-6 ahead at the break, with Ronan Lynch, Peter O’Connell, Gary Dolan 0-2 each, Paul McCormack, Darren Owens, Thomas McGrath and Ross O’Shea 0-1 each getting on the visitors score sheet after the sides were level on four occasions during that opening period.

Gary Dolan’s opening score on 40 minutes was Blackfort’s only score for first 25 minutes of the second half, further points from Thomas McGrath and Gary Dolan 0-1 each completed the scoring in what was a very poor second half display for the losers.
