After this Donaghmore/Ashbourne seemed settle and played a great running game which often put the Seneschalstown defence under pressure with great overlapping runs coming from the their half backs and midfield. However their inexperience in front of the goals together with great defending by the Seneschalstown backs kept them from getting to close to goals to notch up the goals they badly needed.

Donaghmore/Ashbourne will be a team to watch in the future as they have many very young promising players, it was the experience of the Seneschalstown team that gained them a place in the Div 1 league final against Dunboyne.

Best for Seneschalstown was Philomena Sheridan, Aurlita Everett and Deborah Dillon in defence and Mary Sheridan, Linda Quinn and Eimear O’Carroll in attack.

Seneschalstown were missing a couple of their county players through injury which they will hope to have back for the final, which will probably be played on Sunday 2nd Dec. Time and venue yet to be fixed by the county board.

Seneschalstown – Louise Byrne, Celine Quinn, Philomena Sheridan, Aurlita Everett, Roisin Nulty, Deborah Dillon, Grainne McGowan, Mary Sheridan (3-0), Siobhan Sheridan, Stephanie Byrne (2-1), Orla Sheridan (1-1), Linda Quinn, Eimear O’Carroll (0-1), Emma Harris, Geraldine Gordon (0-1).
