Eamon Finnegan converted a free which started Seneschalstown’s best period of the game where they converted three of the next five points. Another Finnegan free was added to by a James Conlon score from play. Seneschalstown could have been closer at half-time had they been more prolific in front of goal and also had a penalty appeal turned down. At the break, Kilmainhamwood lead by 1-10 to 0-04.
Seneschalstown were hoping to use the conditions to their advantage but found the going tough in the second half.
