Last week was a very busy one for the Seneschalstown U-14’s but also a very profitable one as they started the Summer League with two wins.

Seneschalstown 7-06 St. Peter’s/Paul’s 1-04
They started our summer league with a home again against a big strong Dunboyne side, for the first half both teams traded some really good scores and passages of play with good scores coming from Will Finegan, Liam Maguire, Kit Waddington and Donal Commons leaving the half time score at Seneschalstown 3 – 03 St. Peter’s/Paul’s 1 – 03

In the second half the Seneschalstown lads really got their running game going and with Ben Coffey, Cillian Lawlor, Conor Mc Donnell, Tom Smith overlapping at every opportunity the scoring chances came thick and fast for the forwards and Woodley Nicholson, Seanie Dalton, Jack Frayne, Cian Rooney Eoin Macken took Macken took advantage and eventually outscored the visitors 4 – 03 to 0 – 01 in this half.

Rathkenny 1-02 Seneschalstown 4-12
Their second game in the week came on Thursday night when they travelled to play Rathkenny who had recently played in the Div. 3 final.
This time the Seneschalstown lads hit the road running and immediately raised white flags with points from Aaron Traynor who was just back from a broken finger, Will Finegan, Jack Freyne and Kit Waddington and a green flag from Donal Commons.
With Cathal Darby in goals and Dylan Geraghty, Dara Walsh Conor Mc Donnell and Tom Smith winning their battles Seneschalstown lead at half time by Seneschalstown 1 – 07 Rathkenny 0 – 01.
The second half continued in the same vein with Cian Rooney, Woodley Nicholson, Jack Freyne, Zach Sheridan and Eoin Macken taking control with a great team goal starting from Tom Smith at corner back worked through Dara Walsh, Woodley Nicholson Kit Waddington, Liam Maguire and finally Eoin Macken scoring with his left foot. Once again Cillian Lawlor and Ben Coffey lead the defence and drove forward with every opportunity.
