Seneschalstown qualified to meet St.Pat’s in the final by overcoming Nobber in a close exciting encounter with the outcome in doubt up to the final minutes.
Nobber began strongly and had (0-2)on the board before Colin Lynch pointed for Seneschalstown. Nobber added (0-2)and only a point blank save from Ciaran Flynn denied them a goal. Moments later a James Conlon goal had the sides level but Nobber were soon ahead again after a well taken penalty by Fiacra McEntee awarded for a foot block by Dessie Seepersad. Despite missing a penalty James Conlon kept Seneschalstown in touch with two pointed frees but some lovely passing movements from Nobber led to a further (0-3).
Nobber scored the first point of the second half but Seneschalstown then staged a great recovery. Points from Colin Lynch, James Conlon and Niall Groome brought the difference back to two points. With ten minutes remaining Conlon latched on to a short kick out and crashed the ball to the back of the net to put Seneschalstown ahead for the first time. Groome added another point but Nobber replied with a pointed free. Then in the final five minutes Seneschalstown cut loose and added (0-4) through Conlon (0-2), Lynch (0-1) and Groome (0-1).
