A fine fair of good hard clean and very skillful football was served up at Piltown on Tuesday, 17th April.
There were some fine displays of fast and skilful football by both of these two young teams. St. Colmcilles were fast out of the blocks and took a commanding lead after 15 minutes.

There were some fine displays of fast and skilful football by both of these two young teams. St. Colmcilles were fast out of the blocks and took a commanding lead after 15 minutes.
Points by Andrew Garland, Philly Kavanagh (2), Cathal Hilliard, Gilbert Power, James Nealon and a fine goal by a flying Kevin Garland for the seasiders were replied to by two solitary points from the visitors. James Nealon, Cathal Hilliard and Andrew Garland added second points each just before half time to leave the score looking a little unbalanced at 1-9 to 0-2 in favour of the sky blues.

Seneschalstown were not to lie down however. Straight from the throw in their star Meath under 15 midfielder ran right through the entire Cilles defence to score a fine individual goal. Seneschalstown buoyed by this scored another 3 points in quick succession to leave just 4 points between the teams.
Cilles finally swallowed a wake up pill and proceeded to add another 5 points to settle the game. Final score Cilles 1-14 to Seneschalstown 1-7.
This leaves these two teams with a win and a loss each after round two of the championship. The last ten minutes were played under the fantastic new floodlights which are a credit to this thriving club
